Al Borchers, our Vice President of Operations, has elected to retire on April 30^th.

 Al came to Utility Sales and Service in 2015 after having worked 34 years at WPS in roles of increasing responsibility including Green Bay Garage Supervisor, Fleet Maintenance Manager, and Fleet Design & Procurement Manager.  

Since joining USSI, Al has held a number of leadership roles, including his most recent, leading our entire operations.   Al and his team have made fundamental improvement in many areas, particularly in Safety and our New Products business.

Al’s deep understanding of utility equipment, relentless focus to support our customers and ability to work constructively with our leadership team has been a huge benefit to me and our entire company.   Clearly, Al is leaving our business in much better shape than he found it!

In retirement Al and his wife, Lorrie, are looking forward to traveling, spending time with their two daughters, as well as completing his new shop/man cave at the “Borchers Compound” near Crivitz, WI.
