Utility Sales and Service is, a rapidly growing manufacturer and service provider of custom-made aerial lift trucks in Appleton, WI
Responsibilities for a Truck Assembler:
• Work as part of team to build custom trucks.
• Follow product bill of materials, drawings, written instructions, pictures, and quality control documents to build trucks.
• Installation of major components including bodies, aerial & digger devices, winches, etc.
• Assembly and testing of truck hydraulic system.
• The Truck Assembler will fit and assemble prefabricated and purchased components to the truck.
• Fabricate small parts as needed.
•Utilize various hand and power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes to perform job functions.
•Perform testing of trucks as required.
Qualifications for Truck Assembler:
• Demonstrated mechanical assembly skills.
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic drawings, electrical schematics, layout drawings, interpret photos.
• Experience with assembly and operation of hydraulic systems preferred.
•Experience welding and fabricating of parts is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate!
• Is self-motivated and able to work with others.
• Must also be able to bend, twist and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
•The Truck Assembler must have a personal set of basic tools.
Truck Assembler Hours: First shift, Monday - Friday with overtime available.

Entry Level Service Mechanic

Utility Sales & Service (USSI) is a rapidly growing manufacturer and service provider of custom-made aerial lift trucks in Appleton. USSI is willing to train a candidate who has completed a technical program in automotive, diesel truck, fork lift, crane or heavy equipment repair or someone with strong mechanical skills. Someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn, and has a strong desire to succeed in a team environment.
Candidate will be fully trained to preform the following duties
• Servicing, repairing and rebuilding of truck mounted hydraulic equipment including aerials, digger derricks, light cranes, boom loaders, winches, lift gates, reel loaders, etc.
• Inspect and test aerial equipment according to ANSI standards.
• Occasional travel to customer sites as needed (less than 5-10 %). Minimal overnight travel.
Qualifications:
•1-2 years’ experience in vehicle service repair preferred (but certainly not required) in any areas of automotive, diesel truck, fork lift, crane or heavy equipment industries. USSI is also willing to train those with strong mechanical or electrical knowledge or those that have taken relevant tech classes.
• Experience in hydraulics and chassis electrical is preferred but not required..
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Ability to work 50ft. In the air on aerial equipment.
• Basic hand tools are required for this position.
• Strong work ethic, attitude, and attendance record required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Physical, drug test, and background check required, if candidate is hired.
Wage for Entry Level Service Mechanic: $23.00 - $28.00/hour.
Hours: Dayshift, full-time position Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day 6:00am to 2:30pm with overtime available.
