      Chris is a Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Colorado Department of Law, where he advises the Colorado Division of Parks & Wildlife and Parks & Wildlife Commission on a range of legal matters and represents the agencies in litigation. He also advises the Colorado representatives of three multistate endangered species recovery programs on matters related to the Endangered Species Act and other federal environmental laws.
        Before joining the Department of Law, Chris was a staff attorney at the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and a deputy district attorney in Jefferson County, Colorado. He also clerked for judges on the Colorado Court of Appeals and in Colorado’s First Judicial District.

        Chris earned his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2007 and his B.A. in Economics and Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa in 2004.

        An avid trail runner, skier, and fly fisherman, Chris and his wife live in Golden, Colorado.
