Utility Sales and Service is a long-standing and reputable company in Appleton in search of a 1st Shift Heavy Equipment Service Technician (NO weekends). You would be eligible for health and dental insurance during your FIRST week! A quarterly bonus opportunity and other great perks are offered as well.

Utility Sales & Service is a rapidly growing manufacturer and service provider of custom-made aerial lift trucks. We are willing to train a candidate who has completed a technical program in heavy equipment repair, crane, forklift, diesel, or automotive areas. You would be a great fit if you have a positive and strong work ethic and love to be challenged.

Heavy Equipment Service Technician will be fully trained to perform the following duties:

• Servicing, repairing, and rebuilding truck-mounted hydraulic equipment including aerials, digger derricks, light cranes, boom loaders, winches, lift gates, reel loaders, etc.

• Inspect and test aerial equipment according to ANSI standards.

• Occasional travel to customer sites as needed (LESS than 5–10%). Minimal overnight travel.

Heavy Equipment Service Technician Qualifications:

• 1–2 years’ experience in vehicle service repair required in any of the following: heavy equipment repair, crane, forklift, diesel and/or automotive areas.
  We provide product-specific training to those with strong, proven mechanical, electrical or hydraulic knowledge or those that have taken relevant tech classes.

• Experience in hydraulics and chassis electrical is preferred.

• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.

• Basic hand tools (and experience in the use of basic hand tools) are required for this position.

• The ability to work 50ft in the air on aerial equipment.

• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude is required.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. (Class B CDL is a plus but not required.)

• Physical, background check and drug test are required if candidate is hired.

Hours for Heavy Equipment Service Technician:

Dayshift position Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.
Regular full-time hours are 6:00 am to 2:00 pm or 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with scheduled overtime available.
(While training, the employee would most likely be on the 7:00 am–3:00 pm shift.)
Paid morning and lunch break.

Pay for Heavy Equipment Service Technician:

USSI Rentals is an aerial lift distributor providing rentals, service, sales, and parts for all makes and models. We proudly represent and are a distributor for both Elliott Equipment Company and Time Manufacturing - Versalift products. With our continued growth, we are looking to add an Equipment Inspection and Delivery Associate to our team to directly interface our customers when picking up, dropping off, or delivering rental equipment.

Equipment Inspection and Delivery Associate Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, demonstrating, inspecting, and cleaning our rental equipment to prepare it for our customers.

• In this role, you will also be responsible for delivery and pickup of rental or customer equipment, and to retrieve parts and materials.

• The Equipment Inspection and Delivery Associate will work in our shop environment but reports to the Business Manager who runs the rental operations.

Equipment Inspection and Delivery Associate Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in automotive or equipment industries. Rental industry is a plus.

• USSI Rentals will train the candidate in our specific business processes and workflows. The successful candidate will also receive training to safely operate, inspect, clean, and demonstrate our rental equipment.

• Basic hand tools are required for the position.

• A Valid Class C driver's license and clean driving record are required. A CDL is also required.

• The ability to work 50ft in the air on aerial equipment.

• Customer service experience is a plus.

• Successful completion of a physical, background check, and drug test are required before starting this Equipment Inspection and Delivery Associate role.
