Another quarterly meeting in the books, and another Crockpot Cook-Off champion crowned. Congratulations, Dave Gammey!

This week the USSI team got together for our quarterly meeting. These meetings are our chance to step back from the daily work, look at what we’ve accomplished, and get everyone on the same page for what’s ahead. With fall in full swing and plenty of trucks moving through the shop, there was a lot to cover.

When the business was done, it was time for a team favorite: our annual Crockpot Cook-Off. Crockpots came in from across the team, and everyone had a say in who took home bragging rights for the year.

This year’s winners

• 1st place: Dave Gammey
• 2nd place: Alex Smith
• 3rd place: Dallas Wells

Good food, good people

The competition was serious, and so were the appetites. Every entry had its fans, and the voting kept everyone guessing until the end. In the end, Dave took the top spot and the Crockpot Cook-Off Champions plaque, with Alex and Dallas close behind.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to cook, bring a crockpot, grab a spoon, and cast a vote. Events like this only work because people show up and take part, and this team always does.

Why it matters

At USSI, our people are what set us apart. The same team members who build, service, and support trucks for utilities, co-ops, and municipalities across the Midwest are the ones who show up for each other on days like this.
