Tollway crews don’t get to choose their conditions. They work next to fast-moving traffic, in tight spaces, and in every kind of Chicagoland weather. The trucks they bring have to be ready every shift.

That’s why we’re proud to be building and delivering eight new units for the Illinois Tollway. Five have been delivered so far, and the final three are scheduled to roll out this month.

Why it fits the work

Versalift designed the Vantel-29 for urban access and municipal service work. USSI pairs it with a Ford E-350 cutaway and a Dakota body, so Tollway crews get the aerial, chassis, and body as one unit built to their spec.

A busy fall for the USSI team

Our team has spent September and October finishing these units and delivering them in Illinois. Thanks to everyone in the shop and on the road who has kept this order on schedule.

This isn’t our first time working with Tollway crews. Our service team has also given on-site Elliott HiReach operator training for the Illinois Tollway.

Ready to roll. This Versalift Vantel-29 on a Ford E-350 is the fifth unit delivered to the Illinois Tollway.
