A Decade of Commitment at the Greenfield Public Works Expo
For the tenth year in a row, Utility Sales & Service, Inc. had the honor of joining municipal professionals from across Wisconsin and the Midwest at the Greenfield Public Works Expo — an event that continues to grow, connect, and serve the people who do the real work behind the scenes.
This year’s expo, held at Konkel Park, brought together hundreds of public works crews, parks departments, emergency management teams, and municipal fleet managers — the very people who answer the call when streets flood, lines go down, or snow piles up overnight. These aren’t suits and slogans — they’re boots on the ground, wrench in hand, making sure city services stay running no matter what hits.

At our booth, we were proud to showcase a clean, new Versalift aerial unit mounted on a bold yellow Greenfield Public Works chassis — a build we recently completed. Seeing it parked right at the center of the show, ready for service, was a quiet moment of pride. That bucket truck isn’t just a piece of equipment. It’s a promise. A tool for a crew that needs to get in the air, get the job done, and get home safe.
“The Greenfield Expo is one of those events where it’s not about the pitch — it’s about the people. You see the same faces year after year, and you hear what’s working and what’s not. For us, that feedback is gold. We don’t just sell trucks — we build long-term tools for crews who depend on them every day. Being here means standing behind that promise.”
— Tony Thomas, Territory Sales Manager, Utility Sales & Service, Inc.
The Greenfield DPW Expo isn’t just another trade show. It’s one of the few events where vendors, fleet managers, and frontline utility teams gather on equal footing. No red carpets, no fluff — just real conversations, questions that matter, and a chance to shake hands with the men and women who keep the lights on and the water flowing.
Over the past decade, we’ve used this event to listen, learn, and stay connected to the needs of municipal operations. What’s working. What’s breaking. What’s holding up after three winters and what’s not making it past the second. These insights fuel our service, our builds, and our commitment to supporting public sector fleets with gear that doesn’t flinch under pressure.
To the City of Greenfield — thank you for continuing to host an event that honors the work and the workers who make our towns stronger. To every crew that stopped by our booth, asked a question, told a story, or just grabbed a cup of coffee — we appreciate you.
We’ll be back next year, same as always. Supporting the ones who keep America running, one truck at a time.
