Elliott H60F HighReach Training For the Illinois Tollway Team

IMG_1997

When the Illinois Tollway takes delivery of new aerials, they don’t just park them and hope for the best — they call in USSI.

Last week, our team spent three days on-site training Illinois Tollway field operators on their new Elliott H60F HighReach units, mounted on Freightliner chassis. These trucks aren’t just another tool in the shed — they’re mission-critical machines. And we made sure every operator and tech knew them inside and out.

We covered it all: safety systems, boom controls, hydraulic flow, platform leveling, diagnostics, and real-world troubleshooting. These were full-contact training days — in the yard, up in the air, under the hood. No fluff. Just practical, hands-on instruction from folks who’ve been turning wrenches and operating lifts for decades.

“We’re here for the long haul — to train your people, support your techs, stock your parts, and make sure your fleet keeps moving. That’s what partnership means to us.”

Anthony Thomas, USSI’s Territory Sales Manager

The Elliott H60F delivers a 60-foot working height with rock-solid stability and smooth hydraulic operation — built for serious overhead work on infrastructure, lighting, and sign maintenance. And with a Freightliner chassis underneath, you’ve got the reliability and power to match.

Parts That Back You Up

Aerial trucks only serve the mission if they stay in service. That’s why USSI’s parts department is fully stocked with OEM components from Elliott, Freightliner, and more — including hydraulic hoses, cylinders, lighting systems, electrical components, boom parts, and control modules. Our team works fast, with same-day and next-day shipping available on most orders, so crews aren’t stuck waiting on downtime.

Service That Knows the Gear

USSI’s factory-trained techs don’t guess — they know. From in-shop repairs to mobile service trucks, we’ve got crews ready to handle routine maintenance, DOT and dielectric inspections, fiberglass and hydraulic repairs, and emergency response calls across Illinois and Wisconsin. If your Aerial equipment ever needs attention, we’re already nearby and already on it.

To the crews at the Illinois Tollway — thank you for the opportunity. We’re proud to be your trusted partner on the road ahead.
